Ministry Representative

 

Objective:

 

To give every international student on the campus the opportunity to hear and respond to the Gospel, and to disciple them in their faith to prepare them for future ministry.

 

Reports to:

 

Campus Staff, Team Leader, Campus Director, City /Area/ County Director, or Regional Field Director in the absence of local leadership

 

Spiritual Qualifications

  • Person of prayer
  • Person of spiritual maturity
  • Teachable spirit
  • Commited to personal spiritual growth
  • Adherence to the Statement of Faith and Moral Conduct Policy

 Educational/Experience Qualifications

  • One year of college or equivalent experience in higher educational environment
  • Clear evidence of a lifestyle of evangelism and discipleship activities

  • Has discernment and strong interpersonal skills
  • Is faithful, loyal and dedicated to both the field staff and to ISI’s national identity and mandate from the Lord to reach all international students for Christ

Responsibilities

  1. Develop a campus ministry strategic plan with the Campus Director or supervisor and implement it.
  2. Attract and build relationships with international students for the purpose of sharing the Gospel with them.
  3. Develop student leaders, disciple believing international students, preparing them for ministry in their homeland.
  4. Incorporate volunteers into ministry and coordinate with City Mobilizer to develop partnerships with churches and pastors.
  5. Assist in the training of Friendship Partners and in the development of volunteer leadership within churches.
  6. Develop and maintain relationship with university faculty and staff.
  7. Establish and maintain campus ministry and returnee information reporting systems.
