Service Opportunities

Wondering how you can become involved in changing the world through international student ministry?

Here are some opportunities for you!

International Talk Time

On Friday nights, we have a program called Talk Time from 6:30-8:30 p.m. in the Encounter building across from Milner Library.  At Talk Time, international students have the opportunity to share a meal and interact with American students.  Afterwards, students can practice their English with American students and play games.

Meals

If you are part of a small group that has a heart for cross-culutural ministry, we have a service opportunity for you right here in Bloomington/Normal!  We are currently scheduling small groups to serve meals for Amercians and internationals at Talk Time.  Meals are served around 6:30 to about 30 or 40 people, and can consist of meat, a vegatarian dish, fruit, and dessert.  Groups bring food and paper products, and we supply the drinks.  After dinner, groups are welcome to stay and participate in the evening!  For meal service date availability, go to the calendar and click on International Talk Time.

Meet and Greet

During the students' first few days in America, students have an opportunity to stay with Christian host homes. This family or individual helps the students get acclimated and adjusted to our culture, and often forms a lasting friendship with the student.

Using your gifts & talents for Him

Do you enjoy proof reading papers, helping people w/ English, praying for people of other nations, creating care packages, or mentoring?  We would love to plug you in with our ministry!

Please contact me under feedback if you are interested in becoming involved!
