Pilot Update  
 

The Pilot Start-Up Ministry is Making Good Progress in Groton-New London-Norwich!  The ministry name is International Friends of S.E. Connecticut.

Key Workers Committee:  We have formed a working leadership committee.  There are seven people on the committee representing Groton Bible Chapel, Merciful Redemption Church, and Seaport Community Church.   

            Sign-Up now to Help a Future World Leader:  Time to Sign-Up as "Host Families" at the USCGA!!  The CG program is very similar to our standard Friendship Partner program, so we will roll with the USCGA's existing program with our trained volunteers hosting International cadets!  SIGN UP NOW!!!

             Need Training??  If you need training, just eamil or call to sign up for our next sessions.  date and times TBA. Marine Science Dept. at UConn-Avery Point.  We’re still waiting for additional manpower/the right contact person/God’s timing for making contact with Mitchell College.

            Campus Contacts:  Pray for inroads at all of these schools:  We have made contact with four of our five target campuses:  Three Rivers, Conn College, USCGA, Marine Science Dept. at UConn-Avery Point.

            God is Faithful:  He is moving to accomplish what He has indicated:  There will be increasing direct student ministry this fall.  We have an immediate need for volunteers for Friendship partners and for Personal English partners!  It is so good to be in what God is doing!

PRAY for the G-NL-N volunteer leaders and workers:  Remain focused, be successful at recruiting, manage the remaining time well.

PRAY for open doors to and favor with churches and campuses: 
     *  For pastors to sacrifice and schedule time for our recruiting announcement, 
     *  For volunteers to respond, 
     *  For trust to build with campuses, good student access and recruitment.  We will again try working with a small group of IVCF women at Conn College to provide a "face" for the otherwise unknown new organization, International Friends of S.E. Conn. (that's us!).  We'll also be working through a College dept. called "Unity House."  
      *  R still needs to meet with a bunch of pastors. 

PRAY for us as we work to encourage and coach this new work:  Pray we not miss any clue/cue from God.

Pray UD (Nigeria) will effective as the key element in developing ministry at UConn Marine Science Dept., Avery Point:  Much depends upon individual invitations to the Grad students and post-docs in his dept.

Other Prayer points:

*  Student Contacts:  Pray for more, and the "right ones." 
*  Training Volunteers:  Pray volunteers will set this as a high priority in their lives.
*  Ask for God’s for all His connections and resources.

Continue Praying for Unity: 
*  Pray for unity among the churches:  Forgiveness and repentance for judgments among pastors and between evangelical denominations.
*  Pray for H.S. anointed bonding and interaction among the existing and future multi-church teams assembled for outreach and service.

Continue Praying for Revelation:
    Continue to pray for God’s innovations as we survey the various schools/cities/church groupings, etc.

Pray for the Networking: 

As Groton Volunteers step out in the new work, Richard will turn more attention to initial contacts with pastors in the Greater Bridgeport and Greater New Haven areas.  Pray for favor and that each day scheduled down in the SW corner will be fully scheduled and productive.  Pray that the networking takes off.
