Dr. Promod Haque came to the U.S. as an international student and lived with an ISI host family in Illinois.
Dr. Haque has been ranked as a top dealmaker on the annual Forbes Midas List for the past eight years. In 2004, Forbes named him as the #1 venture capitalist based on performance over the last decade.
He oversees more than $2.5 billion in venture capital investments around the world as managing partner of Palo Alto-based Norwest Venture Partners, www.nvp.com. NVP has funded over 400 companies since inception. Dr. Haque focuses on investments in semiconductor and components, systems, software and services. Pulitzer Prize-winning author Thomas Friedman featured Dr. Haque in his bestseller, The World is Flat, discussing the dot-com boom & bust effect on the Silicon Valley high-tech industry work force.
