March 3, 2009 Peanut Butter & Jelly Service Project
Dear Faith Groups,
We are two individual UCSC students who are interested in collaborating with all the faith organizations on campus on a series of community service events. We would like you to join us on Tuesday, March 3,2009 from 10a.m-1:00 p.m. to make and distribute peanut butter and jelly sandwitches for the homeless. Also we are planning to participate in the Santa Cruz Aids Walk on April 4th at 11:00 a.m.-1:30 p.m. as a symbol to the community of faiths standing together to fight AIDS. We are planning on having a car wash with a bake sale on March 8th from 10a.m.-4:00 p.m. to raise money to donate to the Santa Cruz AIDS Project. There will be three shifts on March 8th: 10a.m.-12:00 p.m., 12:00 p.m.-2:00 p.m., and 2:00p.m.-4:00 p.m. The mission is to come together on common grounds and give back to the communtiy.
We are writing to you with hopes that your organization will support our upcoming event “How Faith and PB&J Spreads” as well as our project of “Faith Fighting AIDS”. We are trying to initiate a series of community service functions to connect all the faith organizations of UCSC.
It would be great if your organization can assist in publicizing as well as attending these events. We would list you as a co-sponsor on a flyer. Thanks so much for your time and help. We look forward to working with your organization. Please contact us ASAP to let us now about your participation.
Sincerely,
