Friendship Partners
Friendship Partner is a friend to an international student to help them adjust to a whole new world.  American Friendship Partners are encouraged to meet with the international student at least once a month by:

• Inviting them to dinner
• Take them to a ball game
• Celebrate holidays together
• Take them shopping
• Help them get oriented to your city

Conversation Partner Program
Conversation partners develop friendships through weekly times of English conversation between native speakers and international students with a view toward helping international students achieve academic milestones.   The time of meeting is determined between the international and the CP.

Host Families
Temporary housing assistance is available upon request.

Professional Partners
I have identified Professionals in the Seattle area who have an interest in meeting a mid-career international student/scholars for the purpose of friendship, dialogue about work, culture, and world view. The following guidelines have been set:

• Partners agree to meet a scholar two times.
• Partners agree to respect one another’s culture, religion, and world view.
• Partners are intended to be mutual, so partners agree to dialogue about various topics of mutual interest.
• Partnerships do not promise any work opportunities or financial benefits.
