International Students, Inc. (ISI) is a ministry made up of missionaries dedicated to “sharing Christ’s love with international students,” involving local churches to reach out with genuine Christian love and compassion.   Together we are part of a national network of missionaries located in many university cities across American.   In addition, ISI has missionaries worldwide, equally as dedicated, who come along side and support those students returning to their home country who have found Christ, and seek to take their new faith with them into their home cultures.
 
Here in Monterey, ISI staff – comprised of Dale & Carolyn DePalatis and John Steers, along with his wife, Joyce – have given themselves to reaching these students for Christ.   Together they work to mobilize the local church to better comprehend that the field is ripe for harvest – right here in Monterey.    To this end, they seek to train other Christians in friendship and discipleship evangelism so that they might become short-term local missionaries, showing them how to relate to people of other cultures, sharing about Christ–even within the context of their own busy American lives.
