Reaching the next generation of world leaders The photo above is of Hasnash from India, Frank and Roslom Tam. I gave him a tour of our city and campus and the following year he sent his daughter to attend the local college. Roslam gave his life to Jesus while being befriended by a couple in Cananda where he attened a local University. His daughter, Rachel is now active in ministry at Sierra College where I serve as the contact for all the International students. Missionaries Frank & Mary Swastek have been serving the Lord for over 25 years by planting churches on college campuses and discipling the believers to be leaders in the work force. After serving for five years at San Francisco State they moved to the Sacramento area to pioneer a ministry at the top community college in California, Sierra College. (It has just been voted the #1 community college for the third year in a row.) They also minister to students at American River College. Our primary ministry is networking international students with local Christian families in order for them to feel loved and cared for. Please click on the Updates and Prayer requests link for testimonies and praise reports. Thank you for your generous giving and prayer for our ministry and family! Your monthly donation is needed and appreciated! The American Friendship Program Local families "adopt" international students and build friendships that bless the students and open doors for ministry. Friendship activities with the student include: - Having them over to dinner - Taking them shopping - Helping them set up a bank account - Celebrating the holidays together Please email me if you would like to "adopt" an international student. Your simple acts of friendship can make a huge difference in the lives of these students who will return to their homelands and impact many.
