International Students, Inc. or ISI, was formed by Bob Finley in the 1953. ISI’s mission is to “share Christ’s love with international students and to equip them for effective service in cooperation with the local church and others”. Ministry among international students has been dubbed the “most strategic missions field” by numerous Christian leaders.

ISI works through local churches, providing, training, equipping and advice to help build the church's own international student ministry. ISI also works with local Christian college students, helping them to be better equipped to befriend international students and maintain genuine, healthy and deepeing freindships.

Of course, ISI works directly with international students as well by organizing events, outings, airport pickups as well as linking up international students with local Christians (via the Friendship Partner Program) who can help them with conversational english, provide hospitality and just be genuine friends. All of this is with a view to meet the physical, social and spiritual needs of international students.

ISI is a non-profit Christian friendship organization. Religious beliefs are never forced on a student and friendship and assistance are offered unconditionally. If students are not interested in Christianity, they receive the same care and help as those who are interested.
