Information about Colorado Springs

Colorado Springs is located in the state of Colorado, which is located in the western part of the United States. Colorado Springs is 60 miles (96 kilometers) south of Denver, the State Capitol.

The city of Colorado Springs was founded in 1871 and has a population of 450,000. It's elevation is 6,000 feet (1,829 meters), and it's climate is dry. On average, our city has 250 days of sunshine per year and receives only 15-16 inches of precipitation throughout the year.

During the winter months, we will get some snow and the temperature will get cold. So be sure to either bring clothing that will keep you warm during the winter months or be prepared to buy some warm clothing while you are here.
